View Full Version : Is there a delay in posting reviews?

I have never ever had good luck adding reviews here (ergo, I have but 2 to my name LOL), and I just finished writing one up, only to find that it doesn't seem to exist :confused:.

Is there a delay between writing a review, and seeing it appear? Or is it just me lol?

There shouldn't be any delays, but there is a brand here or there that doesn't play ball with the system. I'll have a look, sorry about that!

update:

I can only see two reviews for your user account. If you could let me know the brand/product of your recent review it would help me track down the error.

Thanks for checking into this :) ... like I mentioned, it's always been so difficult for whatever reasons for me to post reviews that I would just end up scrapping the whole deal (and this predates you and Maeve coming on board, so it's not anything new).

The product I was reviewing was Rimmel Vinyl Lip l/g in Essential.

I too am having the same problem with reviews and in looking at others. Perhaps the reviews should be checked as many do not show up including older ones.

Christine, thanks for letting us know, IC needs your reviews! :D
I was able to add a test review for the rimmel product. Could you please try again? Perhaps just do a quick "testing" review so as not to waste too much of your time.

Squirrel, there are a few issues with some older reviews. I'm writing some diagnostic tools to try and get everything into shape for the next IC update. In the meantime if you have trouble loading a particular review or brand please let us know.

Excellent news! I'm still not sure what the initial review problem was, but pls let me know if there are any more issues.

Ok LOL ... I'm just full of problems :p ...

Now I've noticed that my reviews for anything within the PF line (Physician's Formula) is not showing -- I'm getting an error message when I try to view it (this comes after a successful upload of my review, btw).

Help?

But so far, the other lines are showing up, so that's a good thing ...

BTW, Gavin -- here's the error message I receive when I try to read the PF reviews I've written:

Error: 404 Page Not Found The page you are trying to view cannot be found, or cannot be loaded.
It is possible that the link clicked to get here was invalid, or out of date.

Ok, happy to report that your PF reviews should work fine. Thanks for your help in tracking down this bug.

The bug was when users created new products with brands with apostrophes like "Burt's Bees" or "Physician's Formula". Scripts have been updated and the problem fixed.
