So if you read my posts earlier, you know that my hair has been coming out in globs. Well, I finally got into my gyn and told her what was happening (massive hair loss among problems I had this summer with dizziness and having low sodium in my blood).

Well, it turns out the pill, Yasmin was the reason! There is some derivative in the pill that causes this symptoms, though not many people have them thus are considered "rare". HAH- I am one of the rare people.

While it's certainly not a laughing manner, i'm glad i found out. I definitely knew it was the Yasmin because I stopped taking it a good 3 weeks ago after my period ended. Since then, I only have about 5-6 hairs come out in the shower, and another 5-6 hairs after I brush my hair. HUGE difference!

I'm glad you found out the reason for that. That really stinks that the birth control pill made that happen to you :(

Wow, I didn't know that could happen from a BCP. I'm glad you found out what was going on though!

Wow, I didn't know that could happen from a BCP either! At least you found out what was causing it. Wondering what the cause was would have drove me absolutely nuts.

Medications can have some wacky side effects. I took Accutane when I was 13-14, and lost some thickness in my hair. It's never gotten as thick as it was, but it's thick enough, and I'm grateful that I've had good skin since then.

Glad you found out the cause! Whew! :)

wow that IS weird!
I hope you have better luck with something else.

I haven't noticed that with Yasmin myself luckily, but we'll see.
