I have a couple times a year when I shed more hair than average, but it seems like here lately it's worse than those times usually are. Will someone please tell me they're going thru this too before I start panicking that I'm going bald?

*raises hand* I am! I am! I always do this every once in a while, and my hair won't look any thinner but I always freak out when I see more hair on my brush than usual, for me it usually means I either need a haircut or just going through some shedding.
hah so rest assured, you're not alone ;)

I'm not currently going through it, but every few months I do. You're not alone!

Nope, I think the pregnancy is stopping my hair loss. But I've heard that I'll have major hair loss once the baby is born. It may last up to 6 months, eeek!

I'm not going through this right now, but it's happened to me in the past and I've been told that it's normal.

I think it's normal. This happens to me once in awhile.

I'm perpetually shedding, it's insane.
Was actually pretty funny when I lived with a roomate because she was the same way (was worse then too because I dyed my hair a lot)... her hair was pink and blonde and mine was teal green. Our dust bunnies were crazy colours. LOL.
But if you're really worried about it check with your doc as to what is normal or what might be causing it.

I just shed a lot, period. I think that at times you can shed more than others, and that's very normal.

Thanks, girls. I feel better now. :) I'm going to get back to using my hair growth oil that I concocted when I had a Big Chop a couple years ago and see if I can get my normal thickness back. If I weren't so forgetful, I'd stick with that all the time and probably wouldn't shed so much at times like this.
Actually, if I weren't so forgetful and lazy and really used all the beauty stuff I have, I'd probably look like Jennifer Lopez. :D Any of you ever had that thought?

I was mentioning this to somebody the other day, and he said he's heard that it's common to go thru a major shed every 7 years. Have any of you ever heard that?
