Can anyone recommend me a non-sticky hairspray? If there is such a thing. I want something to give a light hold to my styles, have a pleasant smell, and not make my hair super sticky. Help?

I personally think the Redken aerosols aren't sticky. LOL! I prefer some stick and crispiness (yeah, I grew up in the 80's where Aqua Net was the only thing that worked), but they do hold your hair shape.

I think how fine the mist is in aerosols has a lot to do with the overall gunk-up factor in hair sprays. The finer the mist, the lest sticky & concentrated the product ends up on the strands. That's just my theory. I'm probably wrong. LOL!

When I got my hair cut and colored a week ago, my stylist told me to give up hairspray completely. If you have thick, dry hair hairspray is not for you because it's very drying due to the alcohol in it. It makes the frizzies worse. She told me to just use a finishing serum instead, and I'm getting pretty used to this method. At first I wasn't too keen on the idea because I was so used to using hairspray and I was convinced I would be a frizzy mess without it, but my hair looks so much healthier now. She did say that if you have fine, more oily hair then hairspray is good because you need the dryness. Just an FYI.
