I month ago I did my nails. I got a really bad reaction. I literally grew fingers!! . They all peeled really bad and it hurt like helk. A week ago I took them off and began putting a lot of lotion on them. My fingers have healed nicely. Today I got them done again but on another salon. I used to have my nails in this salon and never had a bad reaction. I kinda felt awkard because I went back to the place I had always gone. I used to go there and do my hair and nails. But it was to expensive. The tech clearly remembered me and asked me how I was doing. She is always very nice and she remember a lot about me. So that menas she was paying attention. Sorry I feel I went of the subject of my bad reaction to the acrylics. She did aske me that what had happened because I also did my hair there. I felt bad but I told her that it was a bit too expensive. It was $50 to get a haircut and your hair blowdried. The place where I get it now is only $15. That's a huge change. Ok the place I go know I can't get my nails done because she must have put something that had gone bad or was infected...or yeah maybe I as allergic to it. I don't know if I did the right thing to tell her it was too expensive. I was very happy with the service they provided me. I just couldn't afford $50 on my hair monthly.

Sounds painful! Glad they've healed up nicely though.

today was my first day with the new nails from the other salon. I've had no reaction nor pain. So I think I was correct and the reaction was of the nails of the first salon I did them on.

I've heard of this happening (people being allergic to certain types of acrylic). I've never had it happen to me though. I'm glad that your hands have healed and that your new nails are ok so far! I don't think it was wrong of you to tell the woman at your old salon that going there was getting too expensive for you. You were being honest.

My new nails are doing great. They are a bit more expensive $8 more. But they are worth it. I have had no more reactions to the acrylic and up to know they look beautiful. I am very happy with them. I do love the salon but like I mentioned before they are a bit on the expensive side. I love the treatment I get at this salon. That the appointments are always on time you never have to wait and the staff is just very polite and attentive. But like I mentioned before having to pay $50 monthly for a haircut was just way too much.

I'm glad you're still loving them, Keishla. I just got mine filled last night, and I got the BEST french manicure I've ever had. I picked this Essie polish that is a clear pink shade, and it's so shiny and pretty! And he only put it on the nail bed and not the white part, then did clear over it so it looks more natural. I love it!

Ooh, Marisa that sounds so pretty! I just got acrylics a little over a week ago and the woman did such a nice French manicure...I don't know how they can freehand such a straight line with white polish!
