I had a flip flop sighting today in the middle of winter. Some girl walking into the mall. I'm not talking about fashionable flip flops, or cute in any way. I'm talking standard shower-grade flat rubber things.

We just got 5 inches of snow a couple days ago.

It was about 13 degrees (for the HIGH) today....none of the recent snow we got has started to melt.

I didn't see any injuries, band-aids, or other first-aid applications to either foot...but the pedi was cute.

Flip flops today!!! Seriously?

Gad, here people wear flip flops/shorts in the rain or snow. Its seriously embarassing westcoast. I dont get it. Do they want arthritis and joint pain?

LOL! I posted something similar to this not too long ago!

Seriously what is wrong with these people? Do they seriously want to end up arthritis in their feet? Well if they do, they'd better enjoy their feet now. After all their feet will end up gnarled and sort of like a parrot's when arthritis kicks in(My granny and aunt's feet look like this since they have arthritis).

What the heck? That's crazy!! I haven't seen anyone wear flip flops over here and I'm in California.

That's crazy! We have a few patients that are constantly wearing shorts and flip flops/sandals in the winter...I personally think they're nuts. :p

I had a roommate in college who wore open shoes all the time, didn't matter what the weather. She was also in short sleeves even when it snowed. I guess some people just never get cold.

I just don't understand how people who do this can NOT be cold. Who are they kidding? It's ridiculous.

I'm somewhat like that. I don't like flip flops at all but I do wear a lot of open toed shoes pretty much all year. I'm always the last person I know that feels cold at all (though, we don't get temps like that either) for me even when the rest of my body is cold sometimes if I wear closed in shoes I start feeling hot all over.

Of course my big fear in that particular situation would be falling in the snow;)

I was at the mall yesterday and my husband had a "flip flop sighting" and there were several teens in shorts and short sleeves. I don't believe it got out of the teens yesterday! I almost forgot about the three teen boys that had on shorts and those huge "Russian" winter storm hats. I don't know what you call them but they have the lamb's fur inside and the big flaps that you can either flip up or pull over your ears?

Living in TX, I see flip-flops year round - even in the 30* weather :p It's rediculous! It's like some people never get around to buying actual "shoes".

Today I had one heck of a flip flop sighting! There's a storm coming into the area where I live, so the rain started pouring down really hard a few hours ago.

Anyways I had to go to the supermarket, and I saw the craziest thing when I arrived there! I saw a teenage girl walking through a puddle while wearing a pair of rubber flip flops and socks! You know I actually felt pretty bad for her, since she must have been freezing.
