Has anyone tried these products yet? I think they're new in the Herbal Essences collection. There's supposed to be a shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in treatment, I think. I'm really trying to grow my hair long and am wondering if these are any good.

I haven't tried that particular type yet (I've seen the commercials and so want to smell them lol) and I know I'm in the minority but I like some herbal essences stuff. The coconut (and orchid maybe?) is one of the few shampoo and conditioner combos I've tried that leaves my hair soft and shiny and manageable while wet (others leave it so tangled) the salon lady I've posted about totally chastised me for using it and was making remarks about how she could tell I was using drugstore stuff and I should never do that and anything that comes from the drugstore is just terrible.
Meanwhile the crap she rec'd for me wound up making my hair look and feel horrible.

Oh, I know what you're talking about -the coconut and orchid scent is divine! It's their Hello Hydration shampoo and conditioner scent. I had that and liked it, and could see myself buying it again.
I don't think that salon products are necessarily better than drugstore, either. Granted though I have been truly impressed with Nexxus Therappe shampoo and Humectress conditioner (and will repurchase when I start working again), other salon products have generally underwhelmed me. I quite like the Herbal Essences products in general. I really enjoyed the Totally Twisted line for waves and curls (another possible repurchase ;) ).

I actually also use it when giving my dogs baths (it makes them smell so good) and when I do a thorough wash on my makeup brushes too. It gets them clean easily, rinses well and leaves them soft.

Ooh, I wish I had seen these new products because I would've totally bought them! I'm growing my hair, too.

I don't think that salon products are necessarily better, but I do know that a lot of times they are more acidic, and can be worse for hair that is extremely dry in the long run. It can also strip your color faster (if you hair is colored). Then again, I have been guilty many times of using drugstore shampoos, even though it usually makes my hair look like mess after about a week :( which is very disappointing as I much prefer the price :)

I've wanted to try the Hydration line, but, like Meredith, Im weary of DS products for my hair....they always seem to wreak havoc after a couple of weeks :(

I looked for these products at Wal-Mart today. I couldn't find them. :( I'll keep checking.

I normally don't use drug store hair products but decided to give this a try just for fun & it was not moisturizing at all. So I guess I will stick with my Redken products that I know work.

I found these at K-Mart a few days ago and bought both the shampoo and conditioner. I didn't see the leave-in treatment though, so I'm kinda bummed about that. Anyway, so far, so good. It seems fairly moisturizing. I'm alternating with Aussie Moist shampoo and conditioner, and my hair is pretty happy. :)

I think I'll pick up the leave-in treatment, it sounds neat. Hopefully I can find it!
