Hey girls,

I have an interview set-up for Wednesday morning at 10 A.M. I have no idea what to wear! Any ideas?

What kind of a workplace is it?

Yes, it depends on the workplace. But generally it's better to go more formal than not for an interview. You want to look put together and polished.

Sorry..

It's for a place that does graphic design and computer related jobs.

My no-fail interview look is a nice button down shirt with black slacks, neutral makeup, and minimal jewelry.

I would agree. Simple and polished would be best. I don't think a suit is necessary, a nice button-down and black slacks will look great! A shoe with a low heel as well.

Good luck!

graphic design, I work in that field!...

you might want to stand out a little, I agree with black pants but maybe with nice boots + a colorful V-neck (not too low of course) + a bold accessories like an interesting necklace. I'd wear my hair up + minimal make-up + clean, short natural nails

Good luck! :)

I agree. If you are going into a creative field you might want to add some interest to your outfit, but at the same time keep it simple and professional.

Good luck on your interview! :)

Yep basic black (or black and white) with a couple accessory pieces in a funky colour to stand out.

Minimal but confidant makeup look...

Remember not to overdo the fragrance that day too, it can make or break an interview.

I don't have black pants, but I do have:

Chocolate colored tailored pants
A black cropped blazer
3/4 Sleeve White Blouse
Black skirt, that goes to the knees
Cream colored wool blend blazer with waist tie
White V-Neck Short Sleeve cotton top
Blue v-neck short sleeve top > This and the black cami, I like to put together, if I go in with a pop of color
Black lace cami

Based on what you have, I'd go with the chocolate pants, blue s/s top, and black cami. You can bring the black blazer along just in case. Depending on the weather, if it's really cold over there, you might want to do a sweater over button-down shirt combo, with a colorful sweater. HTH.

I'd do the black skirt a pop of colour and the black blazer myself.

I agree with Meagan, although... does the blazer match the skirt well enough to go together? That is, if the materials are different, it might not look right...

The chocolate pants and blue shirt seem nice too. You might could even pair the cream blazer with that.

ITA. Both outfits would look nice and professional, but the tricky thing is the match of the black skirt & black blazer. I think I might actually prefer the look of the blue shirt and chocolate pants IF the cream blazer works with it. It'll be a bit different from the usual black and the blazer will pull it together.

I like the idea of the chocolate pants, blue shirt and cream blazer the best.

I think that look sounds great -I love brown and blue together.

I ended up wearing my blue v-neck shirt, black lace cami under, 3/4 sleeve black blazer, and I totally forgot I just got a pair of black trouser pants altered a few months ago! Along with hair straight, simple makeup, and black pumps, I looked sexy. LOL.
