I'm so excited because I taught myself this weekend how to tightline with cream eyeliner on my inner rims. It's the only way I like eyeliner on me unless it's professionally done. I'm not really good with eyeliner, but tightlining is easy because the line is basically already made and all I have to do is trace the color over it. I bought L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner in Black. I like it, but it's a little harsh, so today I went to the MAC store and purchased Blitz & Glitz and Rich Ground fluidlines. If I like Blitz & Glitz better, I'll return the L'Oreal HIP one. I also purchased the 263 brush to apply the fluidlines. It's my first MAC brush. I can't wait to try these fluidlines. I really want Macroviolet and Sweet Sage too. I did wear the L'Oreal HIP one all day today and it stayed put and my eyes looked so much more defined. I even got a compliment from the MAC SA who said that my eyes looked beautiful (I wore Prescriptives Colorscope Eye Color in Goldleaf on my lids and MAC Pigment in Dazzleray on my browbones).

Haha, you sound just like me about 4 months ago! I *finally* mastered tightlining, so I can finally wear eyeliner without feeling like it's super harsh and unnatural. I love RichGround in the pot but it makes my eyes look a little red...I'm really looking forward to hearing your opinion on Blitz & Glitz, I've had my eye on that one.

Yaaay! I've never really tried to tightline...I might have to. :p

I love Blitz & Glitz! I use it to tightline as well. :)

I have Macroviolet and I actually tossed it...it didn't show up well on me at all. Read the reviews first before you buy, a lot of people had complaints.

That's great, Marisa. I can't imagine not wearing eyeliner. I did a minimal face yesterday, and for my eyes, I just tightlined with Blacktrack. It makes SUCH a difference than just going bare!

And ITA with Becky about Macroviolet. I've found it more sheer than some of the other Fluidlines. If you want a true purple, check out the HIP liner in Eggplant.

I tried Rich Ground tonight, and it hardly shows up on me. I like my eyeliners to be dark and bold so they make a statement and actually define my eyes, otherwise I see no point in wearing eyeliner. And can you ladies believe that I lost my Blitz & Glitz already and I never even had a chance to try it? I am so mad! I'm hoping I left it at my parents' place on Sunday because I had pulled them out of my purse to show my mom. I would think she would have called me by now if she found it, though. I'm going to exchange Rich Ground for Shade, which is a dark forest green. I definitely want a green eyeliner. I'm going to return the 263 brush too. I'm really not impressed with it. I actually like the little brush that came with my L'Oreal HIP eyeliner better. I've decided against Macroviolet and Sweet Sage based on reviews here and at MUA. They both sound sheer like Rich Ground is.

I took your advice, Erica, and I ended up buying the other four L'Oreal HIP cream eyeliners tonight: Brown, Teal, Midnight Blue and Eggplant. I tried them all when I got home and I love every single one! These show up awesome, and they wear like iron. My mom wants some too now.

I really hope I find Blitz & Glitz. :(

I came up with three cool combos tonight while playing with my new eyeliners. I've discovered that my eyes look best when I line my bottom inner rims only. My top inner rims are a bit sensitive for lining, but I can do the bottom just fine. I don't like eyeliner on top and bottom lids. Try these combos, ladies. They are beautiful!

MAC Azreal Blue Pigment + L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner in Midnight Blue

MAC Dazzleray Pigment + L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner in Teal

MAC Rushmetal Pigment + L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner in Brown

Marisa, if you want to try and get some liner on your top inner rim, just line your bottom rim and squeeze your eyes shut really tightly. The pigment will transfer.

Thanks for this tip, Becky! I'll have to try it.

Macroviolet and Sweet Sage are more sheer like Rich Ground. I think they work fine for lining upper and lower lashlines, but I can't imagine they'd work well for lining inner rims. For me personally, I only like darker colors there, but I really mostly only like darker eyeliner colors anyway! I'm glad you're loving the HIP liners. I have all 5, and I think they're great. :)

I think I might have to try the loreal hip black eye liner. I have read here that it's a really dark eye liner. I love dark eye liners. I can't tightline tough my eyes can't stand it.

It's super black. I love it. And the good news is...

my mom found my Blitz & Glitz! Well, actually my dad found it LOL. He went to lay on the couch, and he sat on it. It was in-between the couch cushions. So my mom called me and was like "did you lose something?". I must have dropped it when I was showing her my new eyeliners. She went out and bought the L'Oreal HIP one in black to tightline her eyes. My mom is cool. :p

So yay, tomorrow when I go visit I'll have Blitz & Glitz back! :)
