I'm going to a summer employment career fair tomorrow, and am a little stumped about what to wear. I have 1 really...business-y ensemble: black pants, black flats, and button-up top. However, I don't love this outfit, and the last few interviews I wore it to didn't go so well, and I'm getting superstitious!

What about a dress? With tights and non-"hooker" boots, or with pumps? Or what about a pencil skirt with a button-up? The jobs I'm speaking to people about are all summer camp positions, so I know a suit is not necessary, however, I want to look professional. Any advice appreciated!

I would go with either the dress with pumps or the pencil skirt with the button-up. I wouldn't wear boots with a dress to an interview.

Even though it's just a summer camp job, you definitely should still dress up. I think the pencil skirt, button down, and pumps sounds good.

I thought the pencil skirt and a button up top would be appropriate too.

Polished yet not over the top.

Have fun at the career fair. :)

I always wear dresses to interviews as I think they look nicer on me than "suits" or whatever. I think that as long as you look clean, polished, and professional then you'll be ok.

Also... I think that if you wear tights with the boots it could be ok. Meaning, black opaque tights with black boots... or brown or whatever.
