I often have red cheeks (not rosy... just red, lol) that aren't due to rosacea, especially in the winter. I know there are lots of anti-redness products out there but I haven't found any that work yet. Any suggestions?

Not a skincare product, but I love EM Mint Concealer. It's the best I've found for getting rid of redness (which I'm prone to getting in winter too).

Heck yeah, I love this stuff. A light dusting works like a charm! :D

I love Aveeno's Ultra-Calming line. They have a soothing mousse cleanser, a day lotion with spf 15 and a calming night cream. You could pick and choose but I use all 3 on different occasions.
I can count on the night cream to totally calm down any redness overnight.

If you don't have milk allergies try soaking some cotton balls in milk and dabbing them over the red areas. Let the milk sit for like, 10 or 15 min and then rinse off. This works for me. It doesn't work with skim milk though.

Clinique has a new redness reducing line that is nice. I got some samples and love them so far.

Ah. On a different note, I think you just helped me realize that my skin is sensitive to milk, Jacinda. I've been having red patches on my hands and arms lately-- but I just started working at Starbucks, where I'm steaming milk constantly. I think this may be where its coming from.

So, yes, I think perhaps check and see if milk irritates you.

Eucerin redness relief is really good.

I would buy a Calming Mask from what ever company you like. Sometimes they can really help irritated red skin. Plus it is always nice to pamper yourself!

I used to have lots of red patches. The red was caused by past acne and sensitivity , not due to dryness. Sk2 Miracle water helped, but it was really expensive. For some weird reasons, it calmed down my skin.

Masking less and scrubbing less also helped me. Because my redness was due to sensitivity.
