View Full Version : New Maybelline eyebrow pencil: liking it!

I decided to try the new Maybelline eyebrow pencil and I'm impressed! Revlon ditched the 'Taupe' ColorStay pencil I used for years so I've been on the market for something else; I just don't like using powder on my brows; I can never get it to look as good as pencils. Maybelline is on sale this week at Rite Aid BOGOF so I got the medium brown and dark brown pencils, and both are fine on me. The pencil lead is thin and hard, so it is actually better to work with than the Revlon pencil. Staying power is fine but of course is better if you also use a sealer (Benefit Shelaq or whatever). It's retractable, has a comb on end, an the plastic casing is green. I'm going to get a few more while the sale is going on.

Give it a try if you're in the market for an eyebrow pencil.

Thanks for the review, Darlene! :) I wonder if they are going to discontinue their brow powder --which is what I use and love right now--, or maybe they're going to keep two brow products  I hope so.

I can remember using the brow pencil as an eye liner back in the day before we had such a huge selection of products on the market. And up until I recently discovered Jane eye zings as a non-irritating eyeshadow, I used Maybelline's brow powder for my eye shadow. It does not irritate my super sensitive eyes. It works great as an eye shadow if anyone has some and doesn't like it for brows! So anyway, Maybelline has had pencil and powder(both) for as long as I can remember, let's hope they don't discontinue either!
