I don't see this brand mentioned often here, but I thought to post my haul in case anyone is looking to try a new brand. I've been using some Julie Hewett products for about a year. I've used her Cheekies (Rosie) and lipsticks (Nude Noir and Thandie) and love them. The products are a little pricey, but it's a fun brand if you want to splurge. Julie Hewett is known for her line of Noir lipsticks, which are various shades of red. You can see online swatches at www.juliehewett.net (http://www.juliehewett.net) . Anyway, onto my haul...

I bought two palettes recently - Ombre and Petit Four. Petit Four contains four powder eyeshadows (one can also be used as blush), and Ombre includes a Cheekie, two powder eyeshadows, and one cream eyeshadow. The cream eyeshadow is a gorgeous taupe.

I really like them so far. The eyeshadows are smooth and pigmented and show up and last well on my eyes (over an e/s base). The Cheekie is also really nice. The Cheekies are a lip and cheek cream that is sort of balm-like in texture, but they spread smoothly and evenly over the skin. They give a dewy finish that looks fresh and pretty without looking greasy. I don't know how well they would work on very oily skin or in very humid weather, but for my combo skin they last pretty well (though not literally all day).

I found a pic at MUA of the two palettes from Olivia142 (the Tulle palette is also in the pic). The colors are little washed out in the pics, but they're still a good representation. Check the other JH pics in her account too, because she has pics of nearly all the lipsticks, Cheekies, and other products in the line.

Oh, I know of Julie Hewett :D

Actually, I've met her. She came to the boutique my mom worked at to do a makeup event, and we went to dinner with her afterward. She was pretty nice...

I used to use her Cheekies blush, and I like a lot of her lipsticks, "Nude Noir" in particular.

Thanks, ladies! :)

Erica, I hadn't heard of this brand either until I saw a few people raving about it at EMMU. That's a good board for reading about lesser-known brands.

That's cool you met Julie Hewett, Meredith! I'm glad she's nice in person. Her lipsticks are great. They last without drying out my lips and have enough slip to feel comfortable and not as if you're wearing lipstick. I have gotten so much use out of Nude Noir and Thandie that I should check out her other shades. I'm interested in Annette and the Bijou lipstick line.

Nice haul Shannara!! Those e/s palettes look gorgeous!! Those are perfect spring colors. If only they weren't so pricey, lol.
