I can't believe this happened to me. But it did!! I want to share this with you guys so you can all be careful. I was at the library of the university studying for my comprehensives exams. When this guy who seems to be a student. Is looking for books and starts putting books on the table he seemed to be worried about something. Then he comes up to me and tells me "hey my phone has no signal can I use yours? I'll be right here? ...so stupidly I let him use my phone. Then he is like you have no signal either I'll step out for a moment...Ileft my books and my wallet there....All of a sudden he walks out with my phone. I was left like WTF happened. I got up check if the wallet was real and it was an empty walllet. I had just gotten robbed and scammed. I felt so stupid and I really felt like killing the guy. I went outside to see if I could find him but I didn't. So lesson learned gals. Don't help anyone!!! It might sound bad. But these days you just can't trust anyone. I had to file a police claim for the cel insurance and I also have to be a deductible to get a new one  . Things have been really shitty lately..I have a lot of things going wrong and I also have a family problem. I am just trying to focus on this damn exam and everything goes bad. But I am staying positive and I am going to keep studying and I will passs it!!!!!!!!!!! I can't let myself get down.

It really is sad, the state of the world these days, but it's true that you can trust very few people!!

I'm sorry that your cell phone got stolen, especially when you were trying to be a nice person and help someone out. But I am glad that YOU are okay and that the guy didn't try to do anything worse.

Wow, that was really bold. I wouldn't of seen it coming either. Its weird, I'm always so careful about never leaving any of my stuff unattended at the library but I would probably let some guy at my campus library use my phone....not anymore though. Sorry that happened to you.

That's terrible! I can't believe that guy!

And it was such horrible timing too. I know the stress of comprehensive exams is hard enough. :(

Anyway, like others mentioned, I'm glad it wasn't anything worse. A cell phone you can replace. I'm glad you didn't get attacked or anything.

That's really sucky that he took advantage of someone like that.

But ya know, i would've probably questioned him why he needed my cellphone to go outside when he had his own.

In the UK where my honey lives that one is quite common, or they'll ask for a the time, some change, or a smoke and as soon as you go for your phone, pack or wallet they grab it and dash off.

It really is terrible that people do this kind of thing,

:(

So sorry hun, hope you managed to get your phone cancelled before it caused too much trouble for you.

It was quite a sucky day and I sucky experiencie. Tomorrow I will stay home and study. I don't want to do that. But I will have to manage I get entertained a lot at home. I learned my lesson NO lending anything to anybody!!! no buts about it. As everyone has told me I must stay focused I can't lose concentration at this moment. The show must go on and I hope he enjoys my phone.

I'm sorry your phone was stolen. But like others said, be glad it was the only thing stolen, and can be replaced. One bad thing about cell phones is that people tend to store personal and financial information on there, which is a bad idea. I'm not trying to scare you, lol, but just a general FYI. Good luck on your exams!!

I'm just glad you're fine! It's kind of sad that in today's world you can't trust people.

I'm so glad you're ok and that's "all" he did. I would be mad too. Not just mad that someone stole my hard-earned posession, but that they took advantage of a decent person's willingness to help someone seemingly in need. How sad is this world?

I'm so sorry! It's very sad that there are so few trustworthy people in the world.

Sometimes people wonder why we are rude. What happened to me made me very aware that people can not be trusted. Not even and old lady! that's looks helpless. This all happened inside the school building I guess that's why nothing more happened. So I am glad for that. Today I got up very early and kept studying. Nothing will keep me from passing this exam. I am studying hard and trying to put everything else behind me. Like I mentioned before too many things going on at once and the robbery of my phone was like the cherry on top of it all. Sometimes you have to keep going no matter what.

I'm sorry to hear about this, Keishla! It's sad the state so many people are in today that they'd stoop so low. I'm really reluctant to let anyone borrow anything of mine.

Ugh, that sucks! I agree with everyone else that it's sad you can't trust people nowadays. I usually don't let anyone borrow anything of mine, and I sometimes feel bad about that, but you just never know what can happen.

Oh man that absolutely sucks! I'm sorry to hear about what happened, especially since you were just trying to be helpful. Well aside from that, I'm sure karma is gonna come back and bite that guy in the ass.
