Interesting, thanks for posting! BE didn't work for me but I did like PF's and L'Oreal's minerals (although not as much as EM).

Interesting. I thought PF was the best drugstore brand but now I'm going to have to try Milani Minerals too.

That's an interesting article! I've heard really good things about the Milani minerals, I want to try them out.

Interesting read -- thanks for linking that! I hated BE minerals, but I love (and use daily) L'oreal's loose minerals, especially because they offer a better color match for my skin than BE ever did (who has time to mix?).

Oh, and BE made my skin crawl with itching, while L'oreal's is quite comfortable.

If Milani offers a good match for me, color-wise, I'd be willing to try that one out!

I remember that skin crawling itchy feeling I had with BE....uggggh. It looks gorgeous on so many people though!

BE is not a good match for many people because of the bismuth is contains. Many of us are allergic to it and never realize it. I tried Milani's mineral makeup before but I think it contained bismuth at that time and so I was allergic. Also, I am neutral toned and they had a lot of yellow in their makeup.

I've been using the Milani one for awhile, but anybody paler won't be able to. I use the lightest one and I'm medium golden.

Do you like the quality?

Very interesting. Thanks for posting the article!! I hated BE from the beginning, because it was too cakey and the "glow" made my already oily skin look even oilier and shinier. The only drugstore mineral foundation I've tried is Physician's Formula, and it was so thick and cakey it was awful. And I couldn't get a good match.

Heather, I use the Milani pressed minerals & I love the quality! It's very silky, smooth & gives great coverage. I'm the same shade as DarleneH also (the lightest..... I think it's called Nude Buff? I'm too lazy to go check now!)

I apply with a brush for sheer coverage & use my own flocked sponge for heavier coverage (the sponge it comes with is a joke! Went straight in the trash).

However, when I started using the Milani loose powder, I started breaking out & it made my face itch. Both the pressed & loose state that bismuth oxychloride "may" be an ingredient (depending on shade, I suppose?) & it definitely irritates my skin. So I'm assuming the pressed doesn't have it (or has such a minimal amount that it doesn't bother me?)

I'm still using my EM Intensive in the mornings but I bring the Milani pressed in my purse for touch-ups. I have really oily skin & my nose usually greases off the foundation by midday.
