My sister and I signed up for a local charity walk called the Santa Anita Derby Day, and it was today. It was at the Santa Anita Race Park (a local horse racing ground). It was 5K which is pretty easy. This is my first walk ever, and I loved it. It was fun, with tons of people, and afterwards, there was entertainment, food and vendor booths. We got some freebies, and t-shirts. We got more info on more charity walks going on in So Cal in the upcoming future, and we're planning on joining those too. :)

I did a charity walk for cancer with my husband a couple of summers ago. They're really fun, not to mention rewarding!

That's great! I try to do the Susan Komen Walk for the Cure every year. A few years ago it was at the Daytona Speedway, so we walked the racetrack, I thought that was cool. One day I'll hopefully be in shape to *run* the event, haha. Good for you and your sister :)

I love doing charity walks. I've been doing the Revlon Run/Walk for Women's cancers every year for the past 5 years on Mother's Day weekend. I look forward to this years. :)
