View Full Version : How long does it take you to finish a blush?

Does it take anybody else years, like it does me? I actually can't think right now of any blush I've ever completely finished, but I do have a couple that are down to rings at the edges of the pan. Still, THAT may take years more at the rate I use them!

I've NEVER finished a blush - I still have Nars Orgasm from like 5 years ago :p I have finished MACs bronzers a couple of times though.

Now that I have my two favorite blushes (NARS Orgasm and Amour) I won't be buying any more until I use these up. That could be years!

It takes me years, too. I've only used up one blush (Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in Mocha Pink) and then I repurchased it. I'm still working on the second compact and it's been over two years! I'm also still working on the same Clinique bronzer since Summer of 2005!

I've never even hit pan on one...
I have a couple favorites that I rotate through.
I didn't wear blush until last year though.

It can take me years. I never chuck anything - I'm too cheap - and I end up using the very last molecule. But, because I have so many blushes and I switch from cream to gel to powder depending on the season and how dry I feel, they last and last and last. It took me 2 years to get through a Paula's Select Sheer Matte blush, and it was a favorite. Sometimes I don't even wear blush - it can look very elegant and professional if the eye makeup and lips are softer and neutral.
I don't think I've ever finished one. But I only started wearing blush a couple of years ago. I have a few that I rotate through.

When I was in high-school, and before I became a make-up junkie, I used to wear one blush only (can you believe that?), so the estimated time, from what I can remember, was about 6 months to finish up a powder blush, using it on a daily basis of course :)

IDK, I've never finish a blush yet, I have only hit pan on a few, but that's about it. :o

I've never finished a blush. I've come close, but then I really got into makeup so that didn't happen LOL. I imagine if I used the same blush everyday, it might take a couple of years? I know my mom goes through one MAC blush every 1-1.5 years, but I just can't imagine.

I finished Milani Pink Craze and a few Jane Blushes. I think it took me about a year or less each. I don't really experiment with blush colors too much though.

Depends on the form. See, I'm a huge klutz, so I drop my makeup all the time.
If it's a cake, I usually get sick of tenderly sweeping over the pieces. I end up either tossing it if it doesn't work well or, if I like it enough, I grind it up into a loose form and put it into a loose powder sifter container. I think my in-tact cake record is a month. For the few "rings" I've had to deal with, I actually ended up breaking them up intentionally and putting it into a sifter container so I didn't have to waste it.
If it is a loose form to begin with, which is ideal for me, it takes me years to finish it. My fave is BareMinerals loose blush in I'm Amused Rouge. I wore it religiously and used it up in about 2 years, but I still have their Warmth from the starter kit I bought about 2.5 years ago.
Right now I am using Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Blush cake in Pink Glow. Of course, I broke it about 2 weeks into it, but I still use it. I like it fine, but I really have to layer it on to show color. I'm almost done with it! hooRAY! What next ... hmmm ... ;)
I had a cream blush once, and I think I didn't like it and gave it away, so it's hard to say how long those last for me.
Good topic! :D

I did get through a Milani Luminous blush and a NARS ORgasm blush, but I had to use them every day for a year or so before they were gone! I have so many blushes now and switch so much, that I will probably never run out!

I have no idea, and I probably never will :) Blushes are one of my (many) weaknesses, so I have at least a dozen in my rotation. I know I probably use too heavy a hand with them (I like rosy cheeks, lol!) but even so many of them look vitrually untouched, even though I've had/used them a while.

I only own 1 blush...have always been this way. 2-3 years depending on the amount of product. I use pressed powder blush.

Finish? Does this really happen?

I can't imagine ever using up a blush. A couple of mine have fairly significant dips in them, but I haven't even hit pan on anything. My mom's used up several blushes, and it takes her about a year or so, but I just don't think I ever will.

I've never finished a powder blush in my life (or hit pan on one), but I think it would take me at least three years if I worked at it.

OMG how could I forget?? Back in HS, before I really got into m/u, I did finish a Mocha Pink up. It was the ONLY blush I had & it took me 1.5 years, but yes I did finish one up :D Wow I doubt that will ever happen again :p

I used up a CG Cheekers blush in Rose Silk in like, nine months or so when I was in high school.

I have never used up a blush nor hit pan on one! I have used up a couple of MAC bronzers though because I used it all over my face or as contour everyday. I love blush and have over 200 of them so I doubt I will finish any in this lifetime! If they are still good and I have daughters, I'll give some to them :)

Wow, 200 is alot! You almost have enough to use a different blush each day of the year.
I only have about 6 in rotation and I think that's alot because I know I'll probably never finish them.
I've never hit pan on any blush but I did make a good dent (almost hit pan) on Revlon Tawny Peach and Naturally Nude blushes

Yup! It could be a lot more though, I'm afraid! :( I do think I am getting close to hitting pan on my MAC Margin and Peachykeen blushes though! I have been using those a lot lately! :)

It takes me infinity, actually I never have finished a blush before. The closest I ever got to finishing a blush is if it broke!;)

I haven't even hit pan on my first ever blush purchase - a 99 cent Milani Luminous - and yet I keep buying more blushes.
