My roommate got this lipstick with her bag of free goodies. I borrowed it yesterday, and it's THE red shade I've been looking for. The thing is, I know she'll never wear it, but I don't think she wants to part with it. Before I blow $14 on this, are there any drugstore look-alikes?

I don't know of any lookalikes, but VGI is a great shade! You've reminded me that I need to pull this one out as I haven't used it in a while. The matching lipglass is great, too. :)

I don't see a matching lipgloss on the website...was it discontinued? I'd love to get a lipgloss to match.

Are y'all sure they ever made a gloss version of VG1, the red shade? I know there's a gloss for 5 and 6, and the SE version of 6, but there's not one for the original on the site, and I can't remember there ever having been. Maybe I'm losing it... :confused:

Ok maybe I'm retarded (which it totally possible LOL), but I think I assumed we were talking about Viva Glam VI since Marisa mentioned the matching gloss. Now that you mention it and now that I look at it, it does look like Becky asked about the original Viva Glam I. If that's the case, then there isn't a matching gloss for that one.

Yeah, I was pretty sure there was never a gloss for the original VGI, but I thought maybe it was new or something and I'd somehow missed hearing about it...it's been a long day, LOL.

Whew, I thought I was seeing things/not seeing things LOL. Yes, I meant the original, deep red shade. Maybe I'll ask an MA for a regular Lipglass recommendationt to pair with this.

I'm so sorry, Becky! I thought you meant VGI as in Viva Glam VI, but you meant VG1. So sorry for the confusion! (In case you're wondering though, VGVI and it's matching lipglass are great plum shades!). ;)

I did pick it up yesterday-it's such a gorgeous red! I didn't get a lipgloss or anything because I was afraid of changing the color. I'll just top it with some clear gloss.

Becky, when you wear VGI, you should post some pics! I don't imagine it as a you shade (no offense you know, it's just red LOL), so I'd love to see it! :)

Erica, none taken! It definitely isn't a typical "me" shade, but I really like wearing a soft brown eye (no liner) with this lipstick. Even my boyfriend really likes it on me! I'll try and take a pic if I think of it.
