I have a 14K Yellow gold 3 carat diamond tennis bracelet that I never wear and quite frankly, it's not really very pretty. It's very plain with a 3 prong setting. I'm trying to figure out what to do with it besides having it sit in my drawer forever. It has like 50 diamonds and a pretty heavy setting so I don't know if I should take the stones and put them in something else or trade it or sell it on ebay or what? Any good ideas?

I have one from an ex boyfriend that I tried to get rid of on Ebay, and it totally didn't work. People like to see jewelry in person before they buy, and I don't blame them. I'd be interested in hearing what people suggest for you also!

I take my old jewelry to a shop in town that purchases gold and silver.
The one I'm aware of gives a pretty decent price, but I'd check around with different shops first to make sure you're getting the best.

They melt it down and make something new for someone else so that makes me feel good.

Like Meagan suggested, I would take it to a reputable jeweler and have them create something else with it! A pendant (can you imagine the sparkle?), or an OTT ring LOL :D. But I'm blingy like that ;)!

You can put it on Craigslist! People buy from there like crazy!:eek: I found a new mattress, dining set, dresser, and exercise dvd's from it. It's fun, maybe give it a try. Be sure to post a pic to get the best results. HTHS!:D :cool: :cool:

I agree with taking it to a jeweler. But perhaps you might have better luck putting an ad in the classifieds also. If people have a better chance of seeing the piece personally, maybe they'd be more likely to buy it.

I would definitely take it to a reputable jeweler and have a nice pendant made out of it. Like Christine, I'm totally blingy too. :p
