Ok so on Thursday my night class was cancelled so I went shopping for beauty products, of course. First I hit up Ulta where I purchased the following:
Sally Hansen Natural Butter Lip Shine in Pulp
Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Lift and Define Mascara in Black/Brown
I used my 20% off any one item coupon towards the mascara. Both of these products are very nice. The mascara actually does both lift and define my lashes. The tube is shorter and thinner than the average mascara, as is the brush, but I like that. I applied Lash Blast over it, and wow! The effect was amazing. My lashes were so lush to the point where it looked like I had falsies on! It is nice on its own though, and no flaking or smudging during the day. The gloss leaves my lips very soft and the color is so pretty. It's a kind of sheer plummy-pink color. I don't have any other glosses this color so I'm glad I picked this shade. The formula wears off after about 2 hours but I like reapplying because this gloss smells really good. It has a typical sticky gloss texture upon first application but after a few minutes it kind of, settles in, and you don't even feel it and if you mush your lips together it feels smooth not sticky.
Ok so then I went to Macy's and stopped at the Clinique counter. I purchased the Almost Powder Make-Up in Fair. With it, I received the gift with purchase with the Daisy make-up bag, Different Lipstick in Raspberry Glace, Long Last Lipstick in Beauty{both full size}, a mini High Impact Mascara in Black, a mini Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, a 1.7 oz Mild Liquid Facial Soap, and an adorable daisy compact that contains a shadow duo in Like Mink and a blush in a plum shade. I think that was the last day of that promotion so I was excited I got it in time. I like the Almost Powder a lot. Looks very natural and not at all cakey and my skin feels soft if I touch my face when I have it on, not powdery.
Then, I went to CVS with my 12.50 in extra bucks, so basically the foundation was free cause it was 12 dollars. It has such great MUA reviews I had to try it. But I got:
Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Your Skin Make-Up in Porcelain
Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Moisture Plump Lip Balm in Fresh Pink
Milani Color Brilliance Eye Pencil in Aqua
Essence of Beauty brush, I think it was called a Face Finisher. It's a flat top type brush.
I like the brush. It's high quality for being only 7.99 and is perfect for applying bronzer and powder. The Milani eye pencil is AWESOME. I want to get all of the other colors. The aqua shows up so vibrantly and glides on so smoothly and the lasting power is excellent, at least on my lower lashline. I was expecting this pencil to smudge all over but it didn't and I am so impressed with it. It's like the Urban Deacy 24/7 liners for a fraction of the price. The foundation is very nice and looks SOOO natural. I would say it gives a light to light/medium coverage. If you have serious dark circles or zits you will need a concealer. But I just like how it looks like MY skin, not like make-up. When set with the Clinique powder my skin looks amazing. The lipbalm smells so good, a citrusy fruity scent emanates from it and I love it. The color is very sheer but that's fine with me. It just makes my lips look...enhanced. This new Carmindy inspired line from Sally Hansen is great and I want to try the blushes next because they looked gorgeous.
