I saw an ad for the new Clinique Almost Makeup SPF 15 pressed foundation. I think the ad mentioned something about minerals. A MUA review has an ingredient listing and it doesnt have parabens in it but it has other stuff that doesnt make it natural either but less evil in some sense compared to other makeup. I am not even sure why they are mentioning minerals and they yet are low key about it anyways if they are competing with BE.
So any Clinique lovers going to check those out? I still have a fondness for Clinique even though I have gone to minerals. I am though confused as what makes this more different than the other pressed foundations they have?

There's another thread about this. :)

I've tried it and really like it.
I find it interesting that it looks and feels like a powder yet evens skin tone really well and, I guess, gives the illusion of foundation although it doesn't feel like powder foundation on your skin. Hard to explain but definitely worth checking out.

In the ad it says that the make-up is "more than minerals". It is not actually a mineral foundation. They are trying to say it is better than minerals, just to clear that up for you. I have been using this the past couple days and I really like it. It looks and feels really natural and hasn't caused any break-outs for me yet.

It sounds like a good portable option if I ever am lemming for one or needing one. I rediscovered my Aveda pressed foundation. I remember when I first got it I was disgusted by the scent. Enough time has passed that it doesnt smell anymore and I used it today and actually really liked it. I also like the fact it has refills as the compact is really well made and made of metal instead of plastic. I might still check out the Clinique one still as they seem to have my colour.

I recently hosted an employment seminar and was fortunate enough to get a Clinique counter manager to do a makeover using this product. It is awesome!! I wish i could post the before and after photos I took of the woman she used this on; they are amazing.
Clinique is not climbing on the mineral bandwagon. As a matter of fact, they are anti-mineral if anything. One of the women in the makeover session brought up the topic and the Clinique CM made that quite clear.
Im new to powder foundations (Ive always thought the liquid foundations give better coverage) and I absolutely love this one. I first bought the MAC powder foundation but found it too matte on my skin . It didnt look natural. But this one matched my skin tone well. And Clinique has always been good to my skin so I didnt have any breakouts.

That's too bad that they are anti minerals as their other companies like MAC and Origins have minerals in their lines. Some times I really would like to get it at a store instead of waiting for my stuff from the mail.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. They think mineral makeup is a bad thing, so I respect their not jumping on the bandwagon like every other company in the world. The CM at my demo said tht mineral makeup has too much clay in it and that is not really to good for your skin. Too each his own.

I got this powder and actually like it. It goes on really smooth, provides decent coverage and seems like it's less drying than other powders. I read in Allure that they way they make this powder is by making it into a liquid, pressing it and drying it ( or something like that :). ) That's what makes it so smooth and have a nice texture.
