View Full Version : I have $150 in CVS bucks...... Help me spend them before they expire!
I'd appreciate any recs from you gals. Thank you! :)
Oh, in case you're wondering how I racked up $150 in CVS bucks, here is my explanation on MUA:
When you buy the "get it free after CVS bucks" deals, you'll notice that they allow you to purchase more than 1 of each item. For example, the Colgate toothbrushes this month allow you a max of 3 brushes per CVS card (& you get paid back in CVS bucks for all 3 brushes). So I always get the maximum amount (most of the items go to a local homeless shelter, since we don't use all the items). Anyways, there were a total of about $80 of CVS bucks you could earn. I maxed out my card with the CVS bucks & so did DH on his card.

Woo! That's a cool promo.
And you totally rock for donating the extras to a shelter. :D
I guess you have to think about what you need?
Well, I do have some staples that I'll be getting. But I wanted recs too so that I can try out a few new things! :)

I love the new blush from Milani, I only have Mai Tai but it is a totally gorgeous peachy shade and is really great quality. I also love the mosaic blushes from Neutrogena, they added 3 new shades somewhat recently, I have them all but I don't particularly care for Pure (or something like purity. LOL, it has pure in there somewhere) because it's a little too light for even me. The other two new ones (and the old one which is a bright pink) are really nice. I forget the names but the peach is my fave of the two.
I also really like Alba Hawaiian glosses (I can't use their balm as I'm allergic) it's really moisturizing and they smell incredible (I'm talking of the passionfruit, coconut or pineapple squeeze tubes, they're clear) I mix them with pigments to make my own colored lipgloss.
Another thing I love are Loreal's Hip shadow pencils. They wear like iron. They have an incredibly pretty copper color that I sometimes layer with the pink one.
I'm a huge dork but because I'm clumsy I also tend to buy small first aid kits/products to keep in my purse when I have extra bucks. I also always keep their hand sanitizing spray (it's citrus scented) on hand for emergencies (I don't generally like using sanitizers but I like to be prepared)

I've heard really good things about the new Milani colored eyeliners. Also, you could always treat yourself and buy some really nice hair products (my CVS sells BedHead and other salon brands).

ITA w/ Becky - they have Pureology & Bumble & Bumble stuff @ mine. Also their Lumene skincare line is nice & the EoB brushes are nice quality for the price :)

Yep I've heard a LOT of great reviews for the Milani eyeliners too.
I can't find them in Canada. *pouts*
Maybe you could find some nice hand washes and stuff for you and the honey? Treat yourself to the things you might not normally get.
We don't have CVS here so I'm not familiar with what they carry.

Some one here (sorry, I forgot who it was) was raving about the Lumene e/s base. I would eventually love to try it out once I run out of my UD Primer Potion.
I agree with checking out the high end hair stuff. Bumble & Bumble have great products.

I have an Alba coconut balm but I wasn't aware they had glosses. That coconut one would be super yummy. I'm obsessed with coconut scents!!:D

I recommend the Milani eyeliners also...aqua is beautiful. The HiP round tip glosses are really nice, they last a amazingly long time if you apply them with a lip brush. The Lumiere shadow base is good stuff, but I still prefer UDPP

If I had CVS bucks I would get Lumene Eye Shadow Base- I heard it's better than UDPP and that new Sally Hansen line that Carmindy is promoting. I have the foundation and it's awesome.
Thank you, ladies, for all the wonderful recs! I have a nice, long list to check out at CVS. :)

Definitely check out the new Milani Color Brilliance e/l that's been mentioned if you like colored liners. I've been using them for a pop of color on my lower lashline, and they're really nice.

Since you have a lot of "free" money-- I would definitely stock up on razors (I'm a hoarder-- whenever I find razors on a good sale I buy a ton). You'll thank yourself later :D
Hm.... and some fun color stuf that you wouldn't normally buy :D
