I just have to share my excitement with all of you lovely ladies!
Brian and I found out last week that our vacation to Myrtle Beach fell through. We were supposed to go for a week (June 29th-July 6th) with his sister, her husband and their son. They have a timeshare, but the Marriot called and said they didn't have any openings that week because obviously it's a busy one being 4th of July week. We were all bummed. They are going to go to Virginia instead. They asked us to go, but they're not going to Virginia Beach, and we wanted to go on vacation somewhere where there's a beach. They are going to the colonial part of Virginia and just sightseeing. So, on the way to work on Friday my husband turned to me in the car and said "Well, we could always go back to Bermuda". I didn't think he was serious and was actually going to book a cruise! We went on the cruise two years ago for our honeymoon. Our two-year anniversary is coming up on May 20th. Well, he booked the cruise on his lunch break! June 29th can't come soon enough!
We are leaving right out of Boston for Bermuda on the Norwegian Dream. The last time we went, we were on the Norwegian Majesty. I know that this time around we'll have an even better time because we won't be exhausted from the stress of planning our wedding. We'll know exactly where we want to go (our favorite beach, the zoo/aquarium to see the giant tortoises, the restaurant by the water that we loved) and we'll see some things that we didn't get to see last time, like the crystal caves.
I've lost 10 pounds in two months since I joined Bally's, and I'm still losing weight as we speak! I'm really happy about this, and excited to shop for new bikinis and clothes for my trip! I went down a whole dress size! As a matter of fact, I just bought two really cute summer dresses at Kohl's last night. :p
This is going to be the last vacation that we'll go on alone for a while. As soon as we get back, we'll be looking for a house and then not soon after that trying for a baby, so this is our last "hurrah" so to speak before we move on with the next stage of our lives.
My parents are also celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary tomorrow, and we booked a weekend getaway to Kennebunkport, Maine at a resort that is close to the beaches. We're going there July 25th-28th. It has an indoor and outdoor heated pool, indoor and outdoor heated hot tubs, a sauna, fitness center, trolley rides to the shops, an outdoor lobsterbake at night under the gazebo and a continental breakfast every morning. My parents are really looking forward to it. They haven't been anywhere since their honeymoon! We're going to take them to the Kittery Outlets too because they've never been there, and then to dinner at the Olive Garden.
I'm really excited for summer! :D
