I'm celebrating a few occasions with my mom this weekend (Mother's Day, her birthday and her 30th wedding anniversary) so I'm taking both of my parents out to dinner at this Italian restaurant called Orzo. They've never been there before, but my husband and I have and the food is amazing. They don't know where they're going - we've been keeping it a surprise. :)

I'm gonna get my mom some candles, the Under the Tuscan Sun dvd, and maybe some earrings.:)

Probably a card and phone call from her 1st grandbaby (she's crazy about Noelle) :) It'll be my very 1st mother's day as a mommy too!!

My Mum is running off to spend time with her long-distance boyfriend, so I gave her gifties last weekend and I'm kitty-sitting while she's gone.

I'm pretty far from Alabama right now (and travel isn't feasible during finals week) so I'm mailing her her favorite coffee: Starbucks Sumatra and a coffee grinder so she can grind it fresh every morning.

Saturday my boyfriend and I are watching my younger brother so Mom and Dad can have date night. Saturday is a big grill out with Mom, Gramma, Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, Dad, and Brother. Monday is going to be a dinner out with Mom, Dad, Brother, and Boyfriend.

I got my mom a nice cardigan and simple tank - she ALWAYS needs more clothes!

We do the same thing every year, which is take Mom out to dinner. This year will be more eventful, because my brother's wedding is in 2 1/2 weeks. And we're still in the process of shopping for dresses for the wedding, so we'll be getting dresses for her.

My sister and I would love to buy her gifts (clothes), but she's impossible to shop for, lol. We'd end up returning everything. We've learned by now not to get her clothes. She's happy with a family dinner out, lol. :)

DH and I will be at the beach this weekend, and on the way home we're stopping by to see my mom. My uncle and aunt are making a nice dinner for her and my grandma so we will eat with them. We got my mom a really cute pig garden statue (she loves pigs!) and we will get her some flowers.

My sister and I are going to get my mom this ring from James Avery she's been hinting at forever (http://secure.jamesavery.com/jewelry/search/product/R-1241-A/Enduring-Bond-Ring/)
and I think my sister also bought her a bottle of Shalimar Light...

other than that I think we are staying in and I'm going to cook for her :)

Kat, I'm so excited for you, I can't wait for "my" first mother's day :) I hope Noelle gets you some good presents, lol.

My sister and I are planning on doing a "mom's day". I'm going to come over early and bring Krispy Kreme doughnuts, lol. We're doing sushi for lunch, walnut brownies, and guacamole, and watching tv/movies and just enjoying each other. Other than flowers, I'm not really doing presents. I'm writing her a card to let her know how much I appreciate and love her, and how the reason I've ended up a fairly decent person is all due to her (and dad, lol).

I wish I could do something neat, but Mother's Day is the day my brother and I get home from college! My mom's whole side of the family and us are going to the casino buffet for dinner, and I got my mom a card of course. Other than that, there will just be no time. My mom joked that me coming home from school is gift enough, heh heh.
