View Full Version : How and where do you breakout?

My skin is moderately oily. It's used to be really oily before Accutane. I get little breakouts on my forehead and they always seem to be there. Benzoyl peroxide helps. On my nose and on the planes of my cheeks is where most of my problems are. If I have a bad breakout is usually on my cheek somewhere. I get a lot of clogged pores on my nose too.

Places I never seem to have problems with are my chin and jawline and my chest and back.

I tend to break out on the crests on my cheeks, under my eyes. Sometimes I will get something on my forehead, but other than that, no major problems. I have never had a problem with my back though.

I tend to breakout on my chin and lower cheeks. The pores on my nose and forehead like to clog, but that's easily taken care of with my skincare regime. My chest and back like to breakout too, but that's also easily prevented as long as I wash them after I've washed and conditioned my hair.

my chin and cheeks are usually the worst,
when I was younger it was my forehead and nose.

going on the pill (yasmin) taking something for anxiety and depression (less stress!), cleansing EVERY night and eating better this year seems to have really helped clear my skin up.

It's usually on my forehead or chin. Never on my back or chest.

On my face, it's usually my chin. Every so often I'll get one or two bumps on my forehead or around the nose area. As for my body, I get breakouts on my back mostly, and occasional ones on my chest.

I usually don't except for some clogged pores here & there, but lately it seems like every morning I wake up & theres a new cystic pimple or huge whitehead on my chin/around my nose  I have NO idea whats causing this, but I'm so tired of it :(

Ugh, I hate my skin. It goes through phases where it will be clear for a few weeks, and then all of a sudden I break out like crazy! Right now I'm experiencing one of those bad breakouts, but I think it's mainly due to the fact that I attempted to use Retin-A 1% for the second time and it burned my skin and made me break out worse. It's slowly healing now, and I'm using a combination of the Proactiv kit and Retin-A .5% to clear it up. Lately I seem to be breaking out most around my mouth and chin, and I have a couple of spots on one of my cheeks right now because of all the irritation I've put my skin through. I'm also doing a round of minocycline to speed up the healing process. As for body breakouts, my back will break out if I don't use something on it. I use Murad's Clarifying Body Spray, and as long as I use it twice a day and take a shower right after my workouts my back stays clear.

Forehead, around my nose, chin. Cysts coming up under my skin, and clogged pores on the surface. I don't have any blackheads but I regularly get white puss filled bumps that I'm able to get the gunk out (and no matter what anybody says about you shouldn't squeeze them, mine heal faster if I do). Hate it hate it hate it. It's horribly ugly and it's painful quite a bit of the time.

I tend to break out on my forehead, chin, or the skin on the sides of my face (near my ears). I attribute the forehead/sides of face breakouts to my hair. I really don't get that many pimples though, maybe a small (skin-colored) bump 2x a week.

When I break out, it's usually around my chin. I'd started using Retin A 2x a week to turn over old skin and help get rid of old red marks, but a nice side effect has been how clear and smooth it makes my skin. No purging or anything. However this weekend a big ole' cystic pimple showed up on my chin...I'd complain, but it's the first I've had in well over a month.

Well I'm so glad that I bought the Proactiv 3-Step and the Advanced Blemish Treatment again because my skin has dramatically cleared over the past three days! The Advanced Blemish Treatment is the most effective spot treatment I've ever used. It's benzoyl peroxide 6%. My only complaint is that the tube is so small, but I don't care and will keep repurchasing it because it works. I tried alternating the 3-Step with Retin-A .5% for one night, and I noticed that when I woke up my skin was a lot redder and more irritated. When I wake up after using the 3-Step, my skin seems a lot calmer. So I think I'm going to quit using Retin-A altogether and just stick with Proactiv, and then when I see my derm next month I'll ask her if there's any other type of cream I can use at night.

I'm also taking minocycline twice a day, and I believe that it's dramatically keeping my skin clear as well. I'm going to tell my derm that I'd like to continue taking it. I think I really benefit from taking something internally because I have cystic acne.

I'm really pleased with the results I'm seeing and I'm sorry I ever strayed from Proactiv. It really is a gentle, effective treatment.

I'm not so bad anymore, but I've had breakouts everywhere but my feet and hands. I used to experiment with body lotions all the time, and I can safely say that the lotions were to blame. My thighs are still bumpy, no matter what I do. Pantene Pro-V is the worst for my back and scalp. I have all types of acne all over my face, but they are mostly cystic and painful. Tea tree oil is still the best thing I have ever used to treat all of my breakouts. I can't take anything with hormones (i.e. NuvaRing ... grrr), but for the few months I did my face did clear up a bit.

I did, too, when I was having problems with cystic acne. I took Bactrim, and it made the biggest difference in my skin. I quit taking it because I stopped getting cysts, plus I was concerned about being on antibiotics long-term. My derm said there was nothing to worry about, but then again, he also didn't think too highly of Proactiv which has kept me clearer than anything he ever gave me. I'd go on antibiotics again in a heartbeat if I developed cystic acne. They were a lifesaver!

I break out along my jawline before and sometimes during my period.

Usually I get pimples on my chin or around my nose. I also have a problem with small pimples on my forehead which I am almost positive are caused by my bangs. Sometimes I have an occasional zit on my back. As we know with pimples there are also always the random surprises!

I don't break out that often anymore, but when I do it's always on my cheeks. I have one on each side right now and I think it's b/c I am about to start my cycle....

I don't break out nearly as when I was in my teens, but I always get them on my chin and jawline when I do.

I have a tiny blemish on my chin this week, probably because I just finished my cycle.
It's so minimal now, I'm really amazed.

The T-zone area for me - chin, sometimes around the upper lip/under the nose (which drives me absolutely nuts), and around my eyebrows. I don't really get it anywhere else. No, wait, I did get one in my ear recently, but that's not typical. XD
