hey guys,
was wondering if any of you do this? My mom walked by a cart stand at the mall that sells nail stuff and skincare and they buffed her nail and it looks real shiny without any polish. They raise the prices for the buffer there so does anyone know where I can get one, from what brand, and what is it called?
Thanks guys.

I bought a great Revlon one a while back it wasn't too pricey.
I figure you could find something similar in the nail care section of any drugstore.

The one I have looks like a super fat emery board... there are 4 coloured sections on the sides and they're numbered 1-4. You just buff your nails using each section.

I love how it looks, and it's really relaxing :)

The one at the mall is probably the "Seacret" Ocean Dead Sea Manicure set.
The buffing and polishing boards aren't really much better than Revlon, but the Seacret set seals the nail with a blend of oils and that's where the longlasting glassy shine really comes from.

Revlon buffing/polishing boards are a much better value IMO.

I have a nail buffer from Sally Beauty and its great for getting ridges out of your nails, as well as giving them that pretty, shiny natural healthy look. Just be careful not to do it too often, it'll thin/weaken your nails.

I have a drugstore one that looks very much like the one WomanMonster described: It has four colored sections that are numbered. It works really well and my nails are shiny and smooth afterwards.

That's what I was thinking, I got a gift set of this stuff as a present a while back and the cream seals in the glassy shine. I've been buffing my nails lately and just bought a drugstore buffer (like what everyone else is talking about) and a really good nail care cream and seem to get the same effect :) hth!

I agree that you can find one of these at any drugstore. I have one just like Meagan's that I got at The Body Shop. I actually use it to buff my toenails shiny in the winter when I don't wear polish.

I have a really old buffer that was my mom's, and I love it! I rarely wear nailpolish because I work in offices year-round and polish just chips all the time. Just be careful not to overdo it!

I've been using OPI buffing block for a while but any drugstore or beauty supply one works just as good.
