I own and run a local nightlife magazine. We are the media sponsor for a dance party series at nightclubs. What should I wear? What would you expect a nightlife magazine owner to wear to such an event?

Thanks, ladies!

I feel like at night, you can never go wrong with black pants and a fancier top. I often pair black wideleg trousers with a deep v neck black tee and it always works for nighttime.

I really like the suggestion that Becky gave. I think since it's a working event for you, definitely something more "covered" and professional but dressy would be great. You can dress it up with some great jewelry, shoes and a pretty clutch or small purse.

When I'm in doubt, I'll always go for cute little black dress and dress it up as Stacey mentioned above.

I second the little black dress idea. I feel like you should wear what a wedding planner wears to a wedding, with a little more pizzazz. AKA simple dressy outfit, black, with super fun accessories.

I third the little black dress idea. Since your focus is on nightlife, you'd have to be more fashionable and trendy. Great jewelry and a nice little purse, along with heels of course. HTH.

I agree with the others that a little black dress or some type of black outfit jazzed up with fun accessories is your best bet. I love accessorizing, and sometimes it's the accessories that really make the outfit.

Thanks, ladies! I like the idea of the black dress with fun accessories, too. I basically have that going already, so it's comforting to know that I'm dressing appropriately. :)

You should take a picture! ;)You're right, I should have some shots of me all dressed up for going out. I am always the one behind the lens, but I do all that work getting ready, so I should capture it! ;)
