I have a quick question. I had my hair highlighted around 3 months ago and surprisenly, the blond is still as blond as it was when it was first highlighed. but I've noticed near my bang, the blond is thicker than that other highlights making my highlight look uneven. So I wana go to the store 2day and see if I can maybe buy something that will tone it down a little but I still want the highlight to show, just not as much as it is right now. Maybe sally's would have something for it but I wanted to ask you girls to see if maybe u may have some suggestions on what I should use to tone the highlights down a little.
Thank u so much.

I would go back to your salon and just have some lowlights put in on the spot you're trying to tone down. It's much easier that way than fumbling around with different shades. Your stylist will know exactly how to fix it, and it will be quick and easy. I get my hair highlighted with blonde highlights too, and I tried to fix something once and ended up going back to the salon because I made it worse.

I'd be worried about making it worse, too. The only thing I can think of is trying to find a product that takes the dye completely out...but I'm not sure if that's what you want.

Don't do it. I did it to try to "fix" my problem. I had red highlights done instead of blonde and the highlights didn't take evenly in my hair. My bangs looked a lot redder than the rest of my head and I overall just wasn't feeling the red. I bought that Color Oops kit at the drugstore. Well, I have to say that it really works in taking your color out, but if you're taking out highlights they will be off tone once the color is removed. My blonde highlights underneath looked orange and that is why I had to go back to the salon. My stylist put a toner in to bring them back to blonde. That's why it's so much easier to go to a salon and just have it fixed by someone else. Just a warning to anybody who might ever consider using one of those color removal kits if you have highlights!

Also, the Color Oops kit smells absolutely disgusting, like rotten eggs. My bathroom smelled like it for days. It literally made me gag.

That's what I figured Marisa-those kits never seem like a great idea!

If you want to tone down all your highlights you should ask your stylist to apply a toner. That's what happened to me awhile back when I had highlights and thought they were too blonde. She just put a toner on it and it looked MUCH better! Good luck getting it fixed:)
