Cottage cheese being as healthy as it is, I'd like some tasty ways of serving it. CAN it be made tasty? :D

I like to put canned pineapple in mine or honey. I can't eat it too often though or I get sick of it!

Hmmm, I like the taste of cottage cheese by itself. Maybe I'm weird, though, LOL.
I like sprinkling Nature's Seasons on it (blend of salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, and various other spices) and when I was younger my mom used to mix mayonnaise with it, although she doesn't do that anymore and it sounds pretty gross anyway. :p

I use it in lasagna when I make it for my family...it's a great sub for ricotta, which my sister hates :)
IMO, it's great with all sorts of fruit. And if you put a spoonful of strawberry preserves in it, it's the exact same thing as those Breakstones Cottage Cheese Doubles at a fraction of the price.

Katie, that's a good idea! I love those Breakstones Cottage Doubles because cottage cheese on its own kind of weirds me out. I'm going to make my own version!

I love bringing the Breakstones mini cups of cottage cheese or the doubles with fruit to work as part of my lunch. I also love cottage cheese with chives mixed in.

I like mixing cottage cheese with chopped apples and topped with wheat germ. I use it in cooking too. I use it in lasagna, pancakes, blintz and breakfast egg burritos. The only dessert I use it in is called orange fluff. It's mixed with mandarin oranges, crushed pineapple, orange gelatin and whipped topping.
I like mixing it with canned peaches (& just a little bit of the sugary juice).
My co-workers introduced me to what they call Hawaiian fruit salad (I'm not sure if that's the official name or not..... a lot of my Mexican friends like to make this & it's absolutely delicious!!!). The use a generous scoop of cottage cheese & top with all kinds of fresh tropical fruits (papaya, pineapples, mango, bananas), then sprinkle granola on top & drizzle lightly with honey. Ooooh, I am drooling as I'm typing this out now! :) Yum!

LIME COTTAGE CHEESE SALAD
1 pkg. lime Jello
1 c. cottage cheese
1 can crushed pineapple
1/2 c. nuts
1 c. boiling water
2 c. marshmallows
1 c. whipped cream
Dash salt
Dissolve Jello in water, add marshmallows and let melt. Stir in salt and pineapple. Chill until it is the consistency of syrup. Fold in cottage cheese and nuts. Place salad in an 8 x 8 inch pan or use a mold. Chill for several hours and serve with mayonnaise.
I love this stuff but without the mayo! YUCK!!! Seems like I saw a pink version somewhere too. May have to try this with strawberry jello.

You could put it in a baked potato with sour cream and chives and maybe sprinkle some cheese on it.
