I just noticed that Loreal has some new nice make up. I know that this might be old. Here in PR we get drug store make up rather late. I have noticed how the hip line has extended itself into glosses, pigments, cream shadows etc. I have wanted to try a few of these products. I first wanted to hear your thoughts on any of these. I used to be a huge loreal fan before I discovered MAC. Overall I always have thought it was a good brand.

The HIP cream liners have gotten rave reviews-the black I guess is even better than Blacktrack! The pigments are dupes for MAC, and I've heard nice things about their cream eyeshadows.

I haven't tried them, but my opinion has been influenced by the fact that all of the Loreal HIP products are always untouched and dust-covered in my local drugstores, and their products have been cropping up around 99 cent stores in the area. :\

Kind of makes you wonder what's wrong with them, know what I mean?

I really like the HiP glosses, they have great staying power. You need to apply them with a lip brush though or its hard to get a even coat. I tried the cream liners but found them to be flakey and not as good as MAC. The liners are still really nice though, but IMO I would rather pay a few bucks more for a fluidline.

Those liners are awesome! Soft, creamy, easy to apply, and wear like iron!

I love their cream eyeliner and cream e/s. Their e/s duo are pretty decent too. I don't really care for the pigments tho, they aren't as good as MAC, not very pigmented IMO.

I'm not a big fan, I have a couple of the shadow duos and always apply them wet to get them to last and be more pigmented.

I'd agree it's best to pass.

I 3rd Becky & Darlene's thoughts on their cream liners -- the black & brown are staples in my stash and used daily. I also love their new cream shadows that come in the tube w/a brush -- the lightest shades are perfect alone or as shadow bases.

I really like the cream liners. Honestly, I find them every bit as good as MAC. The teal is the only shade I find to be questionable, and that's because it's got a different, drier texture than the others. They're the only things I like from the HIP line though.

The cream shadows in the tubes are wonderful! I have three, and I use them a lot. The lipglosses in the tubes are really nice too - lots of pigment, last well.
I haven't tried much else because the colors don't suit me.

I also love the cream liners. I just finished one in black. The shadow sticks are pretty nice too, wear like iron all day. Their cream blushes are okay but I simply don't reach for them often because I have so many blushes. I for one like their pigments, I love Progressive especially when mixed with lipgloss. I know many people complain because they're so small but I'm never going to finish up a mac pigment anyway. The Hip pigment jars are also a better shape so they're easier for me to store. As for the duos, I may be in the minority but I've never had any problems with them, I find some to be better pigmented than others but I have the same exact problem with pressed shadows from Mac as well.

I've never tried their lip stuff but some of the glosses look so pretty.

thanks gals for all your input ...I think I might want to try the cream eyeshadows.
