I'm proud to say that I'm not that tempted! EL has never really "done" it for me...

I will however admit that that is one really pretty promo shot!

Yeah I love that promo shoot! Makes me want to live in an enchanted forest with pretty, flowy dresses like the models http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Nothing tempts me either, but I've never been an EL fan. I've always wondered about their Pure Color l/s and l/g though...

Erica - The Pure Color l/g and l/s are probably the high point of the line! I do makeup for theater productions a few times a year, and EL donates alot of makeup to the program. The Pure Color l/s stay on really well and there are tons of nice colors. Only downside is that they smell very strongly of figs (and I know you're sensitive to smell).

Oooh thanks for the heads up about the scent, Shoumi. I'll probably pass on these then - it sounds like something that would probably be a headache waiting to happen.

Well *I* like EL. So all of you will just leave more for me! ;-) I like their wet/dry eyeshadows (powders that work nicely wet too) and their traditional lipstick formula in the gold tube.

I like the horse. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

A lot of these Fall stories have mythical, imaginary type themes. I wonder why Fall is so tied with that kind of thing? A few years ago Cover Girl did one where the lipsticks were all purply and the e/s were all smoky, and the models mostly wore purple dresses. There was a beautiful smokey cat in the ads too. The theme was something about being bewitching. Anyway, obviously that stuck in my mind and now I notice every fall there's always a witchy and mythical type cosmetic themes.

not a makeup product but the kipling website has something similar now, a horse, a castle (I can't post a direct link) but the kipling website: www.kipling.com (http://www.kipling.com)

and remember the fall/winter collection of Lancome in 2001? or 2002.
It was with snow and a wolf (one of the products they had was a liquid blush). I couldn't find a link of this.
