Well my name is Mand, which is short for Amanda but anyone who knows me just calls me Mand http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I am 44 years old and I am without doubt a total makeup junkie http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

So why am I a little bit unsure of posting ................ Well I'm not a great fan of labels but to use my offical one I am a Pre op TS (Transexual).
Due to ths I have suffered a lot of ridicule in my life ................ but I always take the veiw of "never mind", I have to live my life as I know/feel is right for me.


Oh, best add where I live, Just outside the city of Nottingham in the UK.

If it's ok with everyone I'll just tell you a little more about myself.
Well I'm not going to go on about the whole transgendered story, to be honest it kinda makes for pretty depressing reading http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I'll just say that I am at present waiting for my first refaral to start me on the road to full transition.
I have been married for 23 years, although for quite a few years it has been has good friends, the husband/wife relationship stopped many years ago. However we prehaps get along better now than we did as a married couple.
I have two children Girl 23 years and boy 20 years, also a fantasic grandson aged 3 years http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif


As I said I am a real makeup "junkie". However whereas makeup for a natural born woman is a way of enhancing and highlighting her natural beauty I am affraid in my case it is for dissguising the looks of my male birth gender.
I am quite heavy handed with my applying but I have to be I've alot to disgiuse http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
So I have to try and wear the right amount to cover but also trying not to get the "drag queen" look.
Oh, can I just mention a brand I have a particular fondness for "Bourjois". I can be generous in the applying and I can avoid the "drag queen" look.
