I am pushing 34 now and noticing some fine wrinkles underneath my eyes. IS there anything at all that can minimize them and prevent future ones??? Anything at all. Thanks.

There are plenty of things you can try, and YES- the sun will damage your skin!! As you get older you find that the effects of the environment are working against you. It's so sad. Everyone is worried about wrinkles (http://skin-care.00freehost.com/strivectin-sd/), including me. Botox injections seem like such a fad right now. I haven't tried it at all and I don't think it's necessary. StriVectin SD works like Botox.

Wear sunglasses!! Even when its cloudy outside, get some lighter ones that block UV rays for those days. Avon makes a great serum I've been using for years and it really works. It's Anew Retroactive Eye Serum, use it every night. It also helps with puffiness. Alot of it has to do with genes too. I grew up on the beach in the sun and I don't have hardly any lines around my eyes but I used sunscreen my whole life.

I was using the Neutrogena copper cream for eyes (can't remember the exact name) and got a compliment on how nice the skin around my eyes was looking. Try to find it on sale and give it a try. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Dont smoke, use sunscreen, wear proper UV protective sunglasses, take internal and topical antioxidants.
Have a positive attitude, nothing shows more on the face than a bitchy attitude!!

You're pushing 34? You're so funny! Silly, you're not "pushing" anything. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Wait until you're at least 69 and then you can say that you are "pushing" 70. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Ok, I have heard nothing but great things about Dr. Brandt, Dr. Denese and Dream firming eye cream. You can get the 1st 2 items on QVC, I believe. If you didn't already know you can e-mail for an on-line catalog for Dream: dreamproducts@yahoo.com. Also I hear good things about Victoria Principal Secret Reclaim line, also found on QVC. I think those are good places to start. I've also heard that getting Botox can help prevent future wrinkles as well.
Take flax seeds/oil to help you from the inside out, as well as good vitamin supplements daily. I hear DHEA and DMAE are great for skin too. Yes, always wear sunscreen, even on cloudy days. UV damage is accumulative, so always wear it. Sunglasses are great as was mentioned so you don't squint as much and it protects you from the UV rays. Drink plenty of water, get good sleep, exercise and destress as much as you can, and a good facial or peel wouldn't hurt either. Actually they're really good for your skin. Don't forget to pay attention to your neck, chest, ears, and hands too. Stay out of the sun as much as possible.
You can use your anti-aging products for your hands at night, and use the SPF during the day and re-apply as necessary. Use your facial scrubs to help cell turnover. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables for their anti-oxidant properties. It helps protect your skin. Beta Carotene is especially good for skin. Try not to sleep on your face.
Ok, well I hope all this helps you!! Oh yeah, I have heard this time and again in beauty mags, 'if you do nothing else, always use sunscreen'. Sunscreen really prevents lines & wrinkles. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I especially like eye creams and moisturizers that are botanically based...I've been using Arbonne's Bio-Hydria eye cream with green tea and have felt better about smiling (and showing those laugh lines) http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Sounds like you've gotten a lot of good advice from everyone - I second the feedback on water and sunglasses!

found some good tips:
Tip: Guard against wrinkles with 30 seconds per day
Regardless of gender, make a point to moisturize your face every morning. The moisturizer guards against the dry, dull skin that is more likely to develop premature wrinkles. To add more power to your routine, choose a face lotion containing SPF 15 or higher.
Tip: Thin Faces vs. Plump
Unfortunately, the thinner you are, the faster your face will age. Fat plumps out wrinkles and masks the loss of bone mass in the cheek and jaw area. Instead of dieting, turn your thoughts to healthy eating. Incorporate more foods that are actually good for you and the calories will take care of themselves. But junk food has to go! Just empty calories and who knows what else?
HOPE THAT HELPS!

I agree with the sunscreen and sunglasses recs.
Another thing...it might be subtle...but try to avoid any reasons for squinting. If you are like me, you put off getting a new eyeglasses or contact lens prescription...gradually, my eyesight gets worse until I'm squinting without being aware of it.
Also--make sure you're getting enough vitamin A.
I swear by my Aramis Lab Series for Men Undereye Rescue eye cream, too. (I'm not a man but it's good.)

I've heard many and very good reviews about Anti-wrinkle Cream with Clay from Aslaskin. They say it's natural (contains Clay, natural oils, wheat germs, Calendula, Rice extract, Ferulic acid, Avocado, Cacao butter, and vitamins A,E, and C).I never tried it but I am very curious about it.What do you think?

You may want to try yNs A Serum. I've been using this product for a couple of years and it has definitely improved my 50 yr old eye area. You have to learn how to use it in a way that works for your skin type but the yNs staff is really helpful. Initially I found certain of the supplemental products (cleanser, moisturizer) didn't work that well for me, but the Serum has been great even using it with other lines. You can check it out at

I'm 37...pushing 38...in less than a week. I have been using Murad Daily C Renewal Cream for 6 months now. This has definitely reduced lines around my eyes. This product is pricey ($85) for a jar...but I am just now finishing up the jar after 6 months...and it's for the whole face once a day.
My only wrinkles on my face are under my eyes, and it has reduced them quite a bit...to where I have to really squint or be really dehydrated before they become noticeable to where it bothers me. And, it has actually helped to get rid of the lines...not just plump them temporarily. I've gotten a lot of complements on my skin in general since I've been using this.
